Harold Arionus Obituary

HAROLD WILLIAM ARIONUS
June 11, 1955 ˜ December 12, 2020

Harold William (Billy Hal) Arionus died peacefully Dec. 12, 2020, at his home in Vancouver, WA. He was born June 11, 1955, to William Arionus and Carolyn Stokes in Vancouver. Billy was a 1973 graduate of Evergreen High School.
Bill was a Christian, a poet, a philosopher and a philanthropist who spread love and joy to all he met. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served near Vietnam when he met and shook hands with Muhammad Ali. Bill lived life hard and fast. He was quick to learn and master many trades, only to get bored with the first and move on to the next. He loved to party and may have overindulged a time or two. He was the greatest bartender you would ever want to meet. Friendly, energetic and always knew exactly what to say. He definitely had the gift of gab. Bill always had a strong work ethic, natural leadership ability and a drive that took him all the over world. No matter where Bill went, Vancouver was always his hometown.
Billy Hal is survived by his brothers, Chad and Wade; daughter, Amy Shanks; son, Jerrold Arionus; and possibly several more spread across this great world of ours. He was very proud of his nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arionus Jr and Carolyn Stokes.
There will be a celebration of life Thursday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend at Church of Truth, 5555 Ocean Beach Hwy., Longview, WA.

I, am so deeply saddened to hear of our loss of Billy, I, was a classmate of Billy's. He was such a fun person to be around. He was witty, kind and a person of integrity. I, am fortunate to have the memory of Billy, being my very first date in my life. Billy, was always remembered by me, as having boundless energy with a joyful, positive outlook. I knew Billy, would do good things and have an interesting life. It sounds as if he did! I extend my heartfelt sympathy to his loved ones. Loosing somebody, as congenial, caring and kind as one's father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend is a loss to all who knew and loved Billy. God's richest blessings are with each of Billy's, family and friends. There is a special place in heaven for Billy. Most Sincerely, Debbie Finckbone-Versteed
