Norma Tenold Obituary

NORMA JEAN TENOLD
August 26, 1934 ˜ January 29,
2026

Norma Jean Tenold passed away on January 29, 2026 at the age of 91. She was born on August 26, 1934 in Jerauld County, South Dakota. Norma resided in Hockinson for 71 years.
Norma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Don Tenold. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and shared adventures.
She is survived by her son, Bryan Tenold (Anita), and her daughter, Annette Alcock (Glen); four granddaughters, Amy Dellwo, Amber Loehndorf, Stephanie Roark, and Megan Husemoen; and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Norma began her career at the age of 18 with Pacific Northwest Bell as a telephone operator in Vancouver, Washington, where she worked faithfully for 37 years before retiring. Outside of work, she found great happiness tending to her yard and flowers, a pastime that reflected her patience and care.
Norma and Don loved traveling together in their motor home, taking cruises, traveling across the United States to visit a Studebaker museum, Arizona, and Mexico. Norma especially enjoyed time at the beach, but above all else, the greatest joy of their lives was time spent with family.
A memorial service will be held on February 9, 2026 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Brush Prairie, WA.
