Lloyd Woods Obituary

Lloyd D. (Woody) Woods, 80, passed away July 2, 2006 in Vancouver, WA. He was born to Delmer and Ethel Woods on May 1, 1926 in St. Edwards, NE. The family moved to the Northwest when he was seven years old. He was a carman for the Burlington Northern Railroad until he retired in 1984. He served in the Navy in WWII aboard the air craft carrier USS Puget Sound. He leaves behind the following loved ones, Phyllis M. Woods, his wife of 57 years; children, Joni Woods and Linda Steigleman; grandchildren, Chris and Jamie Woods, Morgan Hanby, and Tyler Steigleman; great-grandchildren, Naomi, Nolan and Olivia Woods; and many friends and relatives. Woody loved to tinker on cars. He will take his last ride in his special, original 1969 El Camino that he purchased in 1970, on Friday, July 7, 2006. Viewing will be Thursday, July 6, 2006 all day at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. The memorial service will be Friday, July 7, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. also at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. He will be greatly missed!
