We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you! I did not know Lawrence very well, but I know my Mother (Shirley Schaffer-Belknap) and my Grandmother (Evelyn Schaffer) thought very highly of him and were always glad when the family got together so they could visit with him.

Mr. Starkey was a very good man and good freind. We had some great times hunting, fishing, and playing poker. I will miss him and will always remember those good times together. Dennis Railing

"Mr. Starkey" was one of the greatest men I have ever met. I will always remember him as my hunting buddy and as a man that I admire. He was a great friend and a wonderful father figure to me. Your family is very lucky to have had him as your father. He is at peace now and with his wonderful wife. My prayers are with you all. Kathy Railing

I will always have fond memories of Starky and our fishing trips in Alaska. I looked forward to the times I visited with Starky while I was down fromAlaska. Starky was a wonderful person and will always be remembered.

Lawrence was an important link to our past (and Selmer). We will miss him as we do Bird. Our hearts go out to Monte, Terry, Gary and Koni. He was such a presence in their lives. It will be hard to fill that void.

Love and deepest sympathy,

Aunt Joan
