WILLIAM ANTHONY PANKRATZ
October 25, 1939 � December 23, 2023

William "Bill" Anthony Pankratz of Vancouver, WA, age 84, passed away Dec. 23, 2023, from pneumonia. He was born in Pittsville, WI, to the late Leo and Mary Pankratz on Oct. 25, 1939. Bill proudly served in the US Army, where he had the opportunity to work in the White House under President Eisenhower, in the field of intelligence. Bill met his late wife, Kay, in college, at the University of Portland and were married Nov. 30, 1963. Bill and Kay went on to have two children, David Pankratz (1964-2015) and Rae Johansen. Bill was a grandfather of seven and a great-grandfather of seven. Bill co-owned Portland Supply and Printing with Kay before retiring. He was bored with retirement after a few short months, and started another company, NW Commercial Printing, where he operated that for another handful of successful years. He lost his beautiful wife, Kay, in October 2022 from a long fought battle to cancer. Fortunately, they were able to do some extensive travel all over the globe in their younger years, including a world cruise. Bill will be incredibly missed.
