Ronald Migaki Obituary
June 27, 1949 ˜ January 11, 2026
Ronald Tetsuya Migaki, 76, passed away January 11, 2026, in Spokane Valley, Washington, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Born June 27, 1949, in Spokane, Washington, Ron graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School and earned a degree in Education from Eastern Washington State College. He later made his home in Vancouver, WA.
Ron taught PE, health, and science in the Evergreen School District and coached track and cross country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sono and James Migaki, and his sister, Diana Lucas.
Ron is survived by his former wife, Kathy Migaki; siblings Bruce Migaki, Catherine (Denny Funk), and Christine (Downhour); children Darin (Chrissy) Joko, Paula (Kirk) Wessells, Ali (Steve Webb) Migaki, and Marcus (Angela) Migaki; and grandchildren Amaya and Cole Migaki, and Noah and Hannah Migaki.
In keeping with his lifelong love of learning and science, Ron donated his body to the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University for research.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 22. In lieu of flowers, spend time outdoors in Ron’s memory.
