Tommy Merrill Obituary
November 26, 1941 ~ June 24, 2016
Tommy Rex Merrill, 74, of San Angelo, passed away on June 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1941 to Lynn and Rosa (Drake) Merrill in Clovis, NM.
Tommy served his country in the U.S. Navy. Tommy worked as an Electronic Technician in the communications and petroleum industries. On March 23, 1961, he married Essie Stone at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland.
Tommy is survived by his loving spouse of 55 years, Essie; son, Byron Merrill of Franklin, MA; grandchildren, Amy Merrill Rhodes and husband, Chase of Niederwald, TX, Adam Rex Merrill of Buda, TX; and their mother Lisa Keenan of Thrall, TX; granddaughter Sydney Lynne Merrill of Vancouver, WA; great-granddaughter, Fiona Lynn Rhodes of Niederwald, TX; great-grandson, Billy Eugene Rhodes of Niederwald, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Rosa Merrill, and a son, Tommy Lynn Merrill.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the West Texas Rehab, 3001 S. Jackson St., San Angelo, TX 76904. Online condolences can be given at www.RobertMassie.com.
