Ronald Stephens Obituary

RONALD GENE STEPHENS
October 19, 1943 ˜ January 11, 2023

Ronald Gene Stephens was born in Clarendon, TX, and passed in Vancouver, WA, after a short battle with cancer. He graduated from Shafter High School in California in 1961. Shortly after graduation he joined the US Army and served from 1961-1964. He was awarded for Marksmanship, Sharpshooting and an exemplary good conduct medal. Ron resided in Ridgefield, WA, until his death. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 35 years. Ron experienced joy giving back to others. He did charity work with Meals on Wheels to help brighten their day. At times he would take a client on errands with his grand dog Wilbur. He considered the family dogs as doggy grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jeauanne; children, Lisa, Kevin, Max, Ryan; grandson, Eli; brother, Larry; as well as other family and friends.
Services will be held at Willamette National Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 27, 2023, and at Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene at 2:00 p.m. the same day.
