Kayla Castro Obituary

KAYLA (SEALS) CASTRO

Kayla (Seals) Castro, age 36 of Vancouver, WA, peacefully passed away Oct. 7, 2022, in Seattle, WA. She departed this earth quietly and surrounded by her loved ones.
Kayla entered the world halfway around the global in Calcutta, India. She was joyfully adopted by her loving parents, James (Jim) and Kelly Seals at three months old, completing their family. She was raised in the greater area of Vancouver, WA. Kayla graduated from Prairie High School with honors in 2004, then earned an AAS degree in 2008, to become a Registered Nurse.
After a long courtship with her high school sweetheart Omar Castro, they wed on the shores of Hawaii in 2012. They built a life together in Vancouver, where their family grew and were blessed with three beautiful daughters.
Outside the home, Kayla devoted her career to caring for others, she was a talented nurse at Kaiser Permanente for fourteen years. Her dedication to others extended beyond the hospital walls to her family, friends and her parents, always putting their care first. She often reached out to friends to offer support and a listening ear. When it came to the well-being of her family, she took it upon herself to selflessly act as their personal nurse.
Kayla found joy in the simple things in life, she brought the changing seasons to life inside her home with beautiful decor. She enjoyed hosting joyous celebrations to bring together family and friends. Kayla was a rare beauty, with a warm heart. She will always be remembered for her smile which would light up the room.
We will forever treasure her presence in our lives. She deeply cherished her family and friends, and they loved her back. Irrevocably, her husband and girls will always be the loves of her life. Taken too soon, but eternally in our hearts and dearly missed.
Kayla is survived by her husband, Omar of 10 years; their daughters, Savannah, Olivia and Isabella; her parents, James and Kelly Seals of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Randy Seals of Vancouver, WA; a sister, Pamala Cleeton of Ridgefield, WA; two nephews, Jake Cleeton and Austin Seals; a niece, Kiana Cleeton; and several extended family members and friends. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Benjamin and Margarita Castro; and Omar’s siblings, Benjamin Castro, Guerrmo Castro, Cindy Castro and Bernice Castro. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Glenn and Elizabeth (Betty) McAnally of the Portland area (lived many years in Woodland, WA); and her paternal grandparents, James and Zeta Seals originally from St. Joseph, MO.
