JOHN PETER SHINNICK
December 16, 1919 ~ March 31, 2012
John Peter Shinnick, 92, of Vancouver, WA, passed away on March 31, 2012. He was born Dec. 16, 1919 in Hunter, ND to John W. and Cathrine Shinnick.
After graduating from college, John was a war hero, serving 26 missions in Europe as a bomber pilot.
He retired as a Lt. Col. in the United States Air Force and enjoyed golfing.
John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pimpan Shinnick; son, John Shinnick; daughter, Kathe Rumsey; and sons, Dan and Sean Shinnick.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Cate.
At John's request, there will be no funeral or service. He will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery.
