Francine - I am so sorry that I haven't been in touch with you since receiving your Christmas card telling us of John's illness. You have played such an important part in Dwight and my lives, and again since coming back home to Washington. We know that John is with the Lord and what a comfort that must be to you and your family.

With much love and prayers as you continue on.

Fran, One of my best memories is setting in John's shop on a hot summer night pumping the peddles on a player piano. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if you need anything.

I only met John a few times after marrying Richard and moving to Portland, but I appreciated very much his strong belief in God and his faithful service to our Lord Jesus Christ. Not only is he at peace now, he is rejoicing in the presence of the One he loved and served.

I met John when I was a junior high kid, New to the Heights neighborhood. The first day I came to his house He and Fran made sure that I knew I was welcome.Everytime that I was there I always saw a smile or heard a word 0f encouragemnt. The Day frans Station wagon was wrecked The only thing I remember hearing was thank god your allright. I lost touch with the family after they moved from Down town. I sincerely regret that I never looked for them after that. John will be missed by all but is now in the most peaceful place he can be. God bless the family.
