I hardly have a childhood memory that doesn´t involve Josephine ("Jo" what I knew her as)" and the Sakrison family. Jo and Mel moved in next door my kindergarten year, and I was excited to have Larry as a classmate. Living out in our rural area we didn´t have a lot of close neighbors to play around with, so this was doubly exciting to have as well as a whole family next door. Joe always welcomed me into her home, and was quick to offer breakfast or lunch to her son´s chunky neighbor friend, (who she found out quickly was never one to pass up a meal or good food ha ha), and Jo made delicious meals!. I loved hearing her stories. She was a good role model. She was loving to her family (and extended neighborhood kids), but tough when needed too. Something I respected, as it was the same in my house. Jo will be missed, but her generosity and influence touched many. My heartfelt condolences.
