Gale Wright Obituary

GALE D. WRIGHT
February 3, 1937 ˜ December 13, 2021

Born in Tulare, CA, Gale grew up in Oklahoma City until age 17 when he moved to Conrad, MT, where he met is true love and high school sweetheart, Elena, his wife of 63 years. Gale worked hard and always tried to do the right thing. He spent two years in the Navy, stationed in Atsugi, Japan. He traveled the world as an Oil Drilling Engineer - Alaska, Somalia, Nigeria and the Middle East. He later created a successful business, Information Drilling. He designed an built an innovative drilling system for elevator jack-holes for difficult to reach locations. He and his trusted team, used his unique design in hundreds of historic buildings under renovation in the region. So if you are riding in an elevator in Oregon and Washington you can often thank Gale.
He is survived by Elena and their three wonderful children, Preston, Casey and Lesley Wright; and eight glorious grandchildren, Liana, Ciara, Owen, Carson, Natalie, Odilon, Dario and Lorenzo; and four beautiful great-grandchildren, Avery, Keira, Taylor and Brooklyn.
A celebration of Gale’s life will be held sometime this summer.
