Caleb M. Gervickas, 21, was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident on May 13, 2022. He was born July 13, 2000, in Anchorage, AK, to Mark and Shanta (Monroe) Gervickas.
Caleb attended Grace Christian School in Anchorage. Riverside Christian School, West Valley Jr. High and High School in Yakima, WA. Then moved to Vancouver, WA, where he attended Prairie High School and running start at Clark College. He continued at Clark College and Lower Columbia College completing the prerequisites for Nursing. He had planned to move to Redding, CA, in the fall to finish his Nursing degree.
In 2018 Caleb became a CNA and started his career at Glenwood Place and then moved to PeaceHealth Medical Center working on Tower 8. Caleb loved caring for people and making an impact in their lives. Caleb was loved and adored by his patients and coworkers alike.
Caleb loved the outdoors and nature. He would go for a drive or a hike and find a “secret place” that was beautiful and peaceful. He loved creating EDM style music, going by the name Elby. Caleb also loved to be very creative in the kitchen trying new recipes and spices.
Caleb loved to love. He cared about all of his friends, family, coworkers and patients deeply. He also loved to learn and was constantly researching things.
The thing that made Caleb feel the most alive and free was riding his motorcycle and feeling the wind on his face. Caleb died doing what he loved. We know he is in heaven with his savior and we look forward to seeing him again.
