Willie Johnigan Obituary

Willie Mae Johnigan, age 93, of Vancouver, WA passed away on Dec. 29, 2006. Willie was born on May 28, 1913 in Humphrey County, MS, where she was raised and educated. She was an active member for over 50 years in her church, Wings of Healing, in Portland, OR. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, entertaining family and friends, and fundraising for the NAACP in Vancouver, WA. Survivors include daughter, Larnzella (Eddie) Butler of Vancouver, WA; granddaughters, Suzette (Daryl) Fogarty, and Michi Butler, all of Vancouver, WA; great-grandson, Dante Fogarty of Vancouver, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Johnigan in 1991. Funeral services will be held at Vancouver Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007 at 11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Contributions can be sent to the Perry L. Johnigan Scholarship fund, C/O The First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd St. Vancouver, WA.
