Rosa Kirk Obituary

ROSA "ROSIE" LOU KIRK
August 24, 1930 ~ July 23, 2015

Rosa "Rosie" Lou Kirk passed away July 23, 2015 with several family members by her side. Rosie was born in Bozeman, Montana on August 24, 1930 to Arthur and Nan Kirk.
She married Dale Dewain Mecham in Portland, Oregon in August 1946 and later divorced in 1971. They had seven children in their 24 years together: Joseph Dale (Kathryn) Mecham, Condon, OR, Nicholas Alan (Ileen) Mecham, Beaverton, OR, Kathleen Rose (John) Arambul, Ridgefield, WA, Charles Dale (passed away after birth), Bradley Jay Mecham, Vancouver, WA, Kelli Sue (Mike) Amodeo, Washougal, WA, and Karin Louise (Danny) Anderson, Brush Prairie, WA.
Rosa was a nursing assistant and had an Adult Foster Home in Washougal for many years. She loved to bowl, dance, and play cribbage, but mostly loved to go to the Casino.
Rosie had 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews she absolutely adored. She is survived by three siblings, Jim Kirk, Canada, Allan Kirk, Vancouver, WA, and Penny Robinson, Kalama, WA.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Nita Hardman, David Kirk, Sheila Cousins, and Danny Kirk.
Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt…you are greatly missed. What an amazing woman and example you have been to those around you. Our hearts ache knowing you are not here with us anymore but find peace in knowing you are with the loved ones you have missed for so many years.
