I have known Ron since we were in the first grade together and will always remember his smile and the twinkle in his eye. He was one of the nicest boys in our class and liked by everyone. I was so happy when he moved to Yakima and we were able to continue our friendship. Several of my friends had children who were taught or coached by him and they all loved Mr. G. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. My heartfelt sympathy to his family.

Even though we didn't get to see each other for many years, we have thought about you often and love you. We miss you, cousin.

Ron was my older brother by 2 1/2 years and growing up I adored him. He was a great mentor and I believe I am a better person today as he taught me patience and understanding.
I know my golf game is better today because of him.
There will always be an empty spot in my heart as I will always miss him.
We were lucky to have such a special older brother to help show us the way.

What a loss to us all. Haven't seen Ron for years, but have such great memories. Ron was one of those people who validated you by his friendship. His humor and kindness often lifted the dark clouds of those teenage years. I am not at all surprised by his many accomplishments - that was the Ron I remembered. Jan Gustafson Storm

Ron was five years older than me growing up but as his younger sister I adored him. He loved everything sports and I wanted to be just like him. He would pass the football to me, shoot baskets with me and we all played baseball together in the backyard. He was a great role model for the rest of us kids. I don't remember him ever getting mad and he never had a bad word to say about anyone. His grin with the twinkle in his eyes will forever be imprinted in my mind when I think of him. I was lucky to have him for my brother.

Our memory of Ron will remember only the good parts. Like his bright smile the day he beat his Dad at golf. God be with his family in this time of sorrow.

Ron was my buddy. We called him Baldy. That name started either in the seventh or eighth grade. He showed up to basketball practice with a short hair cut, giving Mr. Lynn, our PE teacher, a reason to call him Baldy. Ron was always a good person. I am privileged to say I was his friend. I extend my sympathies to all Ron's family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. Knowing how close Dave and Ron were in their younger years, it's hard to believe that they're both gone at such young ages. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely,Thom and Denise Groth
