Patsy was my idol. She remained forever calm through the storm. At least in my I'm perception. I miss her. I miss looking up to her. I didn't have a memory but I do remember always wanting to be just like her.

My grandma was so very special to me and now the memory of her is. She had a very distinct voice that will stick in my head forever. Growing up I found that she always provides advice to us kids as kindly and loving as she could. She never made you feel like she was disappointed or judgmental she just loved you and wanted to share the things she learned throughout life. She taught me so much, to include tough love, most of which helped me make it through life and has transferred to raising my children. She said "Dawn" or "Dawnzy" a lot and it was always very expressive. That is the voice that will always stick in my head.

Growing up, I remember I used to run from Grandma Pat´s trailer to Grandma Winnie´s trailer all day long in Washington. There was a little pathway from each trailer. I still remember all the different trinkets in both of their trailers. One that I specifically remember was Grandma Pat´s alarm clock that would ding every hour by saying "it is 8 o clock am", for example. I´m so happy that I am able to have that now as it brings me much nostalgia. We miss you grandma.

It was hard to let her go but i knew she missed her children and her grandson very much. So I celebrate her reunion with all of them. I do miss her tremendously.
