Norma Haney Obituary

NORMA MARIE (SIMONSON) HANEY
December 29, 1917 ~ April 9, 2016

Norma Haney, 98, was born in Battle Ground, WA to Herbert Simonson and Edyth Mattson, the second of four children.
Norma spent most of her life in Battle Ground where she proudly worked for the school district for 22 years. She was a member of First Church of God and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Serving God was the center of her life along with her family, whom she prayed for daily.
Norma was preceded in death by her son, Randal Haney and husband Albert "Hugh" Haney to whom she was married to for 72 years.
She is survived by her daughters; Carol (Jim) Rogers and Diane (Gil) Mulder, daughter-in-law Janice (Ed) Haney-Cook, eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
When asked what she'd like to tell her grandchildren and great-grandchildren she said "stay true to the faith because we want them all in heaven with us."
A graveside service to be held at Elim Cemetery in Brush Prairie on April 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
There will be a memorial/reception following the service at The Heathman in Vancouver at 1:00 p.m.
