Kathleen Warner Obituary

KATHLEEN ANN WARNER
June 23, 1943 ˜ January 14, 2024

Born June 23, 1943, to Anna (Branch) and Glover “Red” Blevins of Tigard, OR. She died Jan. 14, 2024, in Vancouver, WA. Kathie grew up in Tigard with one sister, Sharon; and graduated from Tigard High School in 1961. She married James Derald Warner of BZ Corners, WA, in November 1963, and they began their 54 years of married life in Vancouver. The family grew with children, Karen Warner, Ken (Lisa) Ayers, Joe (Jana) Warner, Jon Warner, Karleen McCourt, Shannon Day, Jeff Warner, Nikki (Joel) Evans, and Taylor (Zack) Keeland. In addition, with their bounty of love and care, the family fostered numerous other children over the years.
In the early ’70s, Kathie and Jim moved the family to a home outside Woodland, WA, where they would become a part of the community for nearly 50 yrs. They were active in the Woodland Baptist Church. Kathie loved her home and family, her church, her flowers, and music. She played piano and organ, both at home and for church, from childhood until she could no longer sit at the piano.
Kathie’s husband, Jim, died in 2017, and Kathie moved first into Woodland, and then later to Vancouver. She is survived by her sister, her nine children and 14 grandchildren.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held March 2, 11 a.m. at the Woodland Baptist Church, 1808 Lewis River Rd., Woodland, WA.

Kathie and Jim were good friends of ours when we lived in their area in the early 70's. We pastored Green Mountain Baptist Church and Kathie and Jim were members there and they and their children at that time....Karen, Joe, and Jon were in the Sunday School and after school Good News Club. Kathie and Jim were 2 of the finest people I've ever known. Kathy Simmons and David Simmons Remer Minnesota
