Karin Dennis Obituary

Karin Dennis passed away on Jan. 15, 2007. She was born in Gottingen, Germany on May 15, 1943. Karin grew up with her twin brother, Peter in Fulda, Germany. Karin and Peter were taken in by Adalbert Josef Franz Brons and his wife, Sabine, foster parents, they were later adopted. Karin graduated from school, trained and worked as a beautician. She met her husband, Murphy, while he was stationed in Fulda at Downs barracks. Karin accompanied her husband to Los Angeles at the end of his tour of duty. She became fascinated by Persian cats and bred them for nearly 20 years. She lived in Reno, NV for 13 years before coming to the Brush Prairie, WA area in January 1992. Karin enjoyed her cats and all the wild animals that would visit their home in the forest, she loved this area. Besides her animals, she loved collecting old 45 rpm records and playing them on her vintage juke box. Karin also enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking and visiting with her friends. She is survived by her husband of 40 years; daughter, Carmen; grandson, Ryan of Vancouver; mother, Sabine, 96, of Fulda; twin brother, Peter and younger brother, Harry, of Fulda. Karin was preceded in death by her father, Adalbert. The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to the EMT's of Fire District 3, AMR personnel, all of the ER staff, doctors, nurses, CMA's and support staff of SWMC and her PCP for their caring attitude and professional manner. All who knew Karin will miss her quick smile, giving heart and the light she brought to the lives of those around her. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, 3pm, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow in the hospitality room. In lieu of flowers, donations should go to the Humane Society of SW WA or to SWMC Foundation.
