JOAN HARLAN KERNER
July 6, 1936 ˜ November 25, 2018

Joan Harlan Kerner was called home to the Lord on Nov. 25, 2018. She resided in Vancouver, WA for thirty-two years. Joan was born July 6, 1936 to the proud parents of Mark and Alice Harlan in Billings, MT. She had two sisters, Janet and Elaine (deceased).
Joan met Sheryl William “Bill” Kerner when they were in the seventh grade. They got married at Holy Rosary Catholic Church June 4, 1955 in Billings where they lived for over twenty-seven years. They were blessed with three daughters, Terri, Cheryl and Nancy (deceased).
Joan was a proud mom who did in-home child care, was a nurse’s aide and later a retail sales manager.
She enjoyed playing cards with friends, trips to the family cabin and later RV traveling with the family throughout the United States.
Her Catholic faith was her foundation for living a good and faith filled life. She had a strong devotion to the blessed Mother. The rosary was a comfort to her.
Joan is survived by her husband, Bill; their daughters, Terri Mattingly (John) and Cheryl Broberg (Kevin); fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; her sister, Janet Skagen (Bob) and their three children; along with great-nieces, a great-nephew and multiple cousins.
The funeral mass will be held Thurs., Dec. 6, 2018 at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, Vancouver, WA at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society.
