Cameron, hi love. I was in shock when I heard you left this earth. As I think of you, I only hear you call me "sister". I visualize us all as a crew from dick Hannah, me driving your acura and laughing it up. No words can express the emptiness you leave on this earth. Love you my friend. ❤

I love you, brother. I will miss you. I have been thinking about our friendship we had for so many years. Everywhere you were, the room lit up,. Never a dull moment. I know how much you loved your family. Your kids were EVERYTHING to you. I love you Cameron. You always made me laugh, annoyed, and angry. Just how I like my friends. R.I.P. My friend.

Cameron-- The third oldest of a somewhat short list of cousins of our in common surviving grandmother Ruth Emery. I was almost 3 when he was born but remember seeing him as a baby, he was all wrapped tight in a blanket & the only thing that I could really see was this huge flower of lips in the middle his baby face covering everything else--all lips. He grew into his lips to the hansom man you see in the picture.
At times we lived close & hung out more as kids, but mostly I remember living far from each other. With our moms being sisters, we'd get together sporadically & always for a weekend or weeks at a time. It would mostly be the three of us boys running around whose ever neighborhood we happened to be in. My brother Zach being the born the year between Cameron & I.
I'll never forget the lesson I learned from my little funny cousin Cameron. I think it was my brother, (& probably me too) were teasing Cameron about his laugh, I think we were trying to make him laugh so that we could laugh at him or something--you know how cruel children can be. When it occurred to me the lesson Cameron's laugh was telling us.
Embrace the sound you make when you laugh, loud, heartily, from that inner place of pure joy, without a care in the world as to who it may offend--laugh.
Funny how best times, never are realized until you grow further from the past. The life that we started, ebbs & flows either way & those that have parted, live in dreams.
Much love to you & your family my most excellent cousin, I'll think of you when I laugh.
