WILLIAM “BILL” RITTENHOUSE
November 13, 1939 ˜ January 5, 2024

Bill was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Pampa, TX. and went to be with the Lord Jan. 5, 2024. He is survived by his spouse, Irene; sister, Sonja Decker (John); one child, Lisa Yirka (Duane); three grandchildren, Mikayla, Rhys, and Taylor; and one great-grandchild, Aaliyah. His son, Michael, preceded him in death.
Bill’s granddad taught him to hunt and fish and Bill enjoyed those things most of his life. Bill’s son-in-law, Duane, and he spent many years hunting game.
During his senior year of high school in Richland, WA, Bill enrolled in a night class at the local community college where he learned the trade of welding. This trade allowed him to provide well for his family after Irene and he married.
Bill and Irene moved to Vancouver in 1970 where Bill went to work for Alcoa for many years until the plant was closed. He moved on to Weyerhaeuser in Camas until he took early retirement in 2003.
Bill had a gentle spirit and a good listening ear. His laugh was great and he was loved by all. Bill had a great childhood, a wonderful family, loyal friends and enjoyed life to the fullest.
A celebration of his life will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at Heritage Church, Vancouver, 8803 NE 76th St., 98662
