VIRGINIA A. (MONAHAN) MATTICE
July 28, 1942 ˜ August 5, 2022
Virginia (or Toots) was born in Missoula, MT, into an army family. Her parents were Patrick and Virginia Monahan.
They moved often in her early childhood. Florida, Tacoma, and Vancouver were some of the stops.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Virginia; her sister, Sally; and brothers Patrick and Michael.
Her surviving siblings are Dan Monahan, Marylynn (Gary) Smith, and Nancy Monahan.
She is survived by her three boys, Steve Mattice, Patrick (Renee) Monahan, and Tom (Maura) Mattice.
She had one “favorite” granddaughter, Kathleen (Dave) Baker.
Virginia spent her life showing her individuality. As an ice skater, a tennis player and a working professional, she raised three boys as a single parent, while being a top agent for United Properties, Windermere, and Barbra Sue Seal for 40+ years. Never afraid to do the right thing, she made her mark in a man’s world! Always proving that hard work pays off.
Virginia was exceedingly proud of her Irish heritage. She visited Ireland multiple times to visit the country and her father’s relatives. She might have had genes from many cultures, but in the end, they were all Irish. “God Bless your enemies. May he turn their hearts! And if he can’t turn their hearts, then may he turn their ankles, so at least we can see them by their limping”.

A Celebration of life will be held on Sept. 10, 2022 Club Green Meadows (7703 NE 72nd Ave., Vancouver, WA 98661) from 1-4 p.m. She was a tennis member at Green Meadows for many years.

I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working for her and with her over the years. I was so grateful to see her at my dad's celebration of life. So many great stories of her growing up with my dad.
I know they are having a party in heaven.
