Viola Henne Obituary

Viola Henne, born Jan. 26, 1926, in Portland, OR, passed away at her home in Vancouver, WA on Sept. 20, 2007. Her childhood and school years were spent in Winona, MN. She lived over 40 years in Vancouver. Viola was a gifted artist. Due to her handicap, she painted with the brush in her mouth. She was very proud of her ability to support herself. She was preceded in death by her son, James Henne; husband, Edward Henne; and brother, James Crockett. Surviving family are two nieces: Carol Crockett and Peggy Kemp; and two nephews: Joseph and Jerry Crockett; and special friend, Clyde W. Smith, and longtime friend and caregiver, Joyce Land. We learned much from the courageous way she lived her life.
