VELMA MARIAN MATILDA EDMONDS
(NEE PETERSON)
June 18, 1918 ˜ October 8, 2021
Velma was called home to the Lord Oct. 8, at 103 years of age surrounded by the love of her family.
This beautiful woman was married to Harold W. Edmonds of the Vancouver Police Department in 1940. They lovingly raised four children: Kent, Evonne, Lynne, and Craig. She is preceded in death by Harold in 1968 and Evonne in 1995.
Velma relished being a creative, healthful cook, delighted in being an imaginative, gracious hostess, and was a loving, complete homemaker for her husband and growing children.
She was blessed with family and is survived by Kent (Terese), Lynne, Craig (Jacqueline); eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, a goddaughter and nephews.
The memorial service will be Sat. Oct. 23, 11 a.m. at New Heights Church, 7913 NE 58th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98665. Floral tributes can be sent to the church.
