Timothy Moe Obituary

TIMOTHY A. MOE
March 22, 1953 ˜ May 2, 2019

Tim Moe of Vancouver, WA, passed away on May 2, 2019 at the age of 66. He was born on March 22, 1953 to Jerry and June (McKay) Moe in Vancouver, WA and attended Battle Ground schools, graduating from Battle Ground High School.
Tim married Lena Madsen on Aug. 26, 2000. After they married, they made their home in Vancouver with his son, Heath Moe.
Tim went to work for Kiewit Pacific in his early 20’s and continued with them for 40 years. During that time he held many positions, retiring as yard superintendent. Tim always said “that his blood ran yellow and black.”
If you needed anything, he knew how to get it, where to find it at and how to get it done.
Tim had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. He loved to tease his nieces and nephews. His grandchildren said that he was a real jokester. He taught them all at a young age how to give the best “wet willies.”
Tim loved dogs, especially his companion Angel. They spent countless hours together talking, playing, watching TV, eating snacks and cuddling.
Tim loved music and had seen some amazing concerts in the late 70s and early 80s including the Rolling Stones. You would get into his rig and his radio station was always on KGON. He was a huge sports fan and especially loved football; his favorite team was the Greenbay Packers. He also loved the Superbowl and NCAA March Madness. You could always count on him to have a pool going for a big game.
Tim is survived by his wife, Lena; his son, Heath, (Kelly) and his 2 wonderful grandchildren, Hayden and Katelyn of Vancouver; brothers, Steve and Gary (Cindy), all of Vancouver; sister, Jody (Steve) Hymas of Battle Ground; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Scott Moe.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sun., May 19, 2019 at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA at 1:00 p.m.
Tim will be greatly missed by his family and friends, we know that he is at peace.

I had the privilege to work with Tim for many years in the early 2000's at the Kiewit office. Reading the messages that have been left for Tim, I would like to add that Tim was the most generous person to have as a friend. We had the greatest 4th of July picnics in the front yard of our office for many years. Tim was always thinking of the kids when it came to the 4th of July. I always looked forward to this annual event. You will be missed Tim and my condolences go out to Lena and the rest of your family. God Bless and RIP buddy. Go Pokes!!

I know everyone will miss Tim so very much. He was truly a larger than life figure to everyone he knew. I worked at Kiewit for nearly 10 years and he certainly took care of us and anything that needed attention.
I'm grateful to have known Tim and bless his family at this time. God Bless you Tim.
