Shannon Lee Collins
Shannon Lee Collins
June 21, 1978 ~ February 4, 2008

Shannon passed away on February 4, 2009 after a long, difficult battle with Melanoma. Beloved daughter, devoted mother, loved by many, Shannon could fill a room with her smile. Born in Vancouver on June 21, 1978, Shannon graduated from Prairie High School in 1996 and received her MA from Apollo College in 2002. Shannon spent the majority of her working years at WaferTech and Linear Technology Corp where she met many of the people who were so important to her.
Shannon was an incredibly loving, caring and down to earth person who cared more about her friends and family than she did about material things. She accepted each person for who they were and found good in everyone. Shannon loved to garden and be outdoors, but more than anything she loved spending time with her daughter Sage, whose birth in 2005 changed Shannon's life forever.
Shannon is survived by her daughter Sage, her fiancé Matt Forst, parents Lana and Chris Collins, brothers Shawn Collins and Matt Oden, Grandmothers Grace Collins and Jo Cooley, Aunts Robin, Kelly and Judy, Uncles David, Rod and Bob, ten cousins and countless friends.
A Celebration of Shannon's life will be held Sunday, February 8th at Camas Washougal Wildlife League, 811 SE Leadbetter Rd, Camas WA 98607.
Donations may be made to benefit Sage Collins at any Lacamas Credit Union branch.

Like I told Shannon before, she was and will always be my hero. Her courageous and positive attitude was inspiring, and I am so proud she was my niece. Even though her life was all too short, it was a life well lived. Her loving memory will live with me always.

No words seem to be the right ones to say to Lana,Chris, Shawn and baby Sage. I pray that God watches over you and gives you strength and grace through your pain. When I think of Shannon I think of her wonderful smile that went on for miles. We were friends since the 6th grade (even though she did ruin my new shoes I let her borrow..LOL). It seems impossible that she is gone... I believe that God will slowly heal broken hearts by Shannon's beautiful gift she left.....Sage......
Shannon, I am sorry for losing touch. I wish I could have said goodbye.

Shannon, we are going to miss you. You are one of the nicest girls I have ever known. A memory of mine is when Gary and I would come to your house and visit on the weekends with Casey, Carrie and Craig. You guys would hang out in Shawn's room and peek on us, adults. You kids always had fun together. While Shawn was turning lights on and off. We wish you wouldn't of left us so soon. We will always carry you in our heart. Love you, Carol, Carrie, Craig, Casey Smith
