SALLY JOAN PETERSEN

Sally Joan Petersen, age 67, passed peacefully at home June 26, 2021. She was born April 13, 1954, in Vancouver, WA, to parents Myrna Wegner (Kersteter) and Ken Kersteter.
Sally attended Hudson’s Bay and Ilwaco High Schools and worked as a store clerk for many years before retiring. Sally married Don Petersen, June 10, 1972. They were married 49 years. She loved spending time with her grandkids, baking, gardening, traveling and crafts.
She is survived by mother, Myrna Wegner; husband, Don Petersen; brother, John Kersteter; sons, Corey Petersen (Mandy), Daniel Petersen; nieces, Shauna Brady (Jim), Kris McElroy (Stephen); adopted son, Chris Martin (Jen); and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father, Ken Kersteter; sister, Susan Drake; and grandson, Hunter Petersen.
A celebration of life will be held on July 31, 2021, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Petersen’s home.

Sally, I will never forget the support and help you gave me during Dennis' cancer battle and that is just one of the reasons it was an honor to help take care of you during your final days on earth. I promise to be here for your family and support them during this very sad time for all of us
