ROBERT J. MCNEAL
August 17, 1932 ˜ March 25, 2023

Robert (Bob) J. McNeal, 90, of Battle Ground, WA, passed away on March 25, 2023. He was born on Aug. 17, 1932, on his grandparents’ farm in Palmer, NE to Robert and Kirstena McNeal. The family moved to California, and later to Monroe, OR where Bob graduated from high school in 1950.

Bob attended Oregon State College, graduating in 1955. There, he met his wife of 58 years, Donna Oldenburg. After college Bob enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Ord, CA.

Bob and Donna raised sheep for many years, showing them at county and state fairs in Washington, Oregon, and California.

Bob is survived by his children, Randy (Cathy), Steve (Denise), Sharon, and Craig (Tammi); granddaughters, Meri Armstrong (Matt) and Sheena McNeal; great-grandsons, Aiden and Ethan Armstrong; and brother, William (Bill). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna; parents, Robert and Kirstena; brother Richard (Dick); sister, Jean; and grandson, Patrick McNeal.

Services will be held at Willamette National Cemetery, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions in the name of Robert McNeal can be made to the Clark County Fair Association, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 17402 NE Delfel Rd, Ridgefield, WA, 98642.
