MURIEL BRANNAM

Muriel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Muriel was born March 26, 1923, in Chicago, IL, and passed away Aug. 21, 2021, in Vancouver, WA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Schroeder; mother, Mildred Schroeder; brothers, Harry Schroeder and Raymond Schroeder; and her husband, Raymond Brannam. Muriel is survived by her sons, Carl Brannam and Roy Brannam.
Muriel was raised in Chicago and graduated from Loomis Highschool. Shortly after the beginning of World War II, while attending a USO club dance, she met her future husband Raymond Brannam who was from Vancouver. They fell in love and got married Aug. 20, 1944, in Chicago.
After the war ended Ray was stationed in Seattle, WA. From there they moved to Vancouver. In 1948 they bought a house where Muriel lived until she passed away.
Muriel loved her family and friends and they all loved her. She always had a smile and a kind word for all. Muriel enjoyed interacting with others. She was a Past President of the Women Auxiliary of the American Legion, Smith Reynolds post.
She enjoyed attending Amigos, a senior club meeting at Luepke center. Her church, New Life Christian Center which she had attended for close to 70 years, was very special to her. Muriel loved going there and being with her friends. Muriel touched may lives in her 98 years and will be missed by all.
Memorial service to be held on Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at New Life Christian Center, located at 701 N Garrison Rd. Vancouver, WA.

Roy and Carl, I'm sorry to learn of your Mother's passing. She was a very kind and sweet lady, and I have fond memories of her, your Dad, and Grampa. My sincere condolences to you and your families.
