Mary Thompson Obituary

MARY CECILIA THOMPSON
August 31, 1954 ~ September 20, 2010
"She will be missed by all who knew her and depended on her. "

Mary Cecilia Thompson of Ridgefield, WA, died unexpectedly Monday morning. Born in Long Beach California, she made her home in Battle Ground and Ridgefield, WA.
Mary was an avid student, receiving her Bachelors in Science from Sonoma State University, and her Masters in Nursing from Washington State University. She retained her passion for learning throughout her life and could always be found in a classroom, often as the instructor. She spent her life helping others and promoting physical fitness and well-being.
She was an avid cyclist and could often be found providing medical support for organized rides. She loved being outside, growing her own vegetables, and spending time with her many friends and family.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Frank; son William, his wife Jennifer and daughter Sophia; daughter Tara and her husband Jeffrey; daughter Heidi; son Kim, his wife Angela and children Conrad, Meredith, and Ming. She leaves behind many siblings, a large extended family, and countless friends that will love and miss her always.
A private memorial service will be held for family and friends with additional services to be held at her places of work.
All who knew Mary, know she enjoyed helping others
and donated her time to many different causes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to the Vancouver Share House would be appreciated. She was greatly loved.

Mary - You may be gone however you continue to live in our hearts. I have so many fond memories of you - sometimes my heart hurts so much at the realization that you are gone then I think about my fond memories and I smile so grateful that I was able to know you. Losing Mary is a hard thing...I will always remember her as a smiling co-worker, a feminine lady sashaying down the hallway at Kaiser, and always nibbling on something (yet maintaining a slim profile)! We will miss Mary.
