LARRY L. RALEY
December 19, 1941 ˜ February 21, 2023
Larry passed away peacefully on Feb. 21 in Vancouver, WA. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Raley; daughters, Niki Raley and Kelli Brown; grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Carter Brown, Chelsey Arnold, Kylie Brown, Keaton Brown and Tristan Boesch; great-grandson, Dante Arnold.
Larry was born in Vancouver, WA, and graduated from Hudson’s Bay High School in 1959. He attended Clark College, University of Washington and PSU where he received his bachelor’s degree. In his younger years, Larry enjoyed his time at the Clark County Saddle Club where he competed in calf roping while riding his prized horse “Show Boy”. He also served in the Air Force reserves. Larry enjoyed a long and successful career in the floor covering industry. He owned and operated C & L Interiors until he retired in 2002.
After retirement, Larry was an avid golfer, tennis player and fisherman. When he and Sandy weren’t travelling the world, he could be found flying his own airplane throughout Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. He also fulfilled a “bucket list” accomplishment by becoming a licensed auctioneer. Larry and Sandy owned and operated Rockin’ R Llamas for many years, raising and selling many award - winning llamas.

I knew Larry and Sandy from the llama world. They were both very active and dedicated for many years and contributed a great deal to our llama organization. They both served on the llama association board off and on over the years.
One of my favorite memories of Larry was when he brought a bread pudding to a potluck llama event. Everyone raved about it but he would not divulge the recipe. Turns out it was made using Krispy Kreme donuts! I might have to make one in his honor. Rest in Peace Larry.

I knew Larry for many years. The tennis club he belonged to came in every Wednesday to Bill's Chicken and Steak House. They were all so friendly and I always looked forward to seeing them all. They threw a baby shower for me at work and it was so awesome. But I will always remember Larry. I loved llamas and he raised them and invited me to their llama ranch and it was so fun. Larry had such a great smile and a great sense of humor. I was so sad to see he had passed but he will always remain in my mind as such a nice person.

Larry and Sandy and our family ,Marvin and Carol Peterson, have been friends for over 50 years. Larry and I worked together at C & L Interiors, and he was a great manager for the 25 years we owned it with him. I am sure Marvin and Larry are having a vodka and water together, where ever their souls ended up! Larry was a wonderful friend and I will miss him greatly.
