John,
Ya know, we miss you all the time. Just wish to the heavens above you were here to help us celibrate Christmas.
Our Christmas Eve and our Christmas day dinners have been modified.
Instead of turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, califlower with cheese and peas, we're going with something a little more non-traditionl.
Christmas Eve, we're going to have Papa Murpy's pizza. And, we're eating off of TV trays. Christmas day, the menu will be tacos with all the fixings, spanish rice, and refried beans. Les is bringing a corn dish of some kind
Your friends in heavan are getting more numerous all the time. You have Erva, Ron J,R., Dollo, Jane, Doris, Dianne, Melba, Iris, and a host of other great cooks. You ought to be able to cook up a great meal.
Just want you to know, we love you. Give the family a big big hug.

John,
Do you realize that you are 58 years old. Dad's 80 years old and mom is 79 years old. How time flies. . .
He, we,re in the process of putting a concrete access to the car barn. No more driving across the soft grass to get the Mad out or back into the car barn.
Hey, we got a new dog. We got Stormy October 23, 2022. And, we had to put Sheba down April 1st 2023. It was Sheba's responsibility to teach Stormy hwo to be a good dog. As in, use the back yard to pee and poop in. But, she's is as very good dog, and friendly. You'd like Stormy.
Andrea finally go her own place around the first of November. It's a mobile in a mobile home park. It's a very nice place with a very nice out building. She's presently in making changes like new counter tops and back splash and sink and on, and on. Needless to say, she's very happy.
Karin has b een coming over once a month to sork and getting the fungus out a my toes. She's also doing your mom's toes. We talk and talk and have dinner. We just make it a day.
Ron Bushy, Jr. and Dolo have passed. Tell 'em we miss them also.
We miss you and love you ever so much.
Love,
Mom and Dad

It has been 11yrs since we lost you,and the pain is still like it just happened.
As we both get older our bodies are falling apart. Dad had a knee replacement and I have got a new arotic valve and a pacemaker. Old age is not for the meek!!!
Andera is still with us. It sounds like her and her boy friend are going to buy a house together. They are looking for a place with about 1.5 to 5 acres. The want room to park two semi trailors and his sleeper cab. They also want to build a shop big enough to park and work on the trailors and the cab.
Our neighbor had a big tree, about 90 feet tall, fall on their house. Did damage but thanks to two trees in their yard, the house was not badly damaged. Cost to remove the trees was about $12,000.00. Cost to repair the house was in the neighbor hood was $130,000.00. I got most of the wood from a small tree knocked down by the big tree. Darrel, or neighbor, got the wood from the big tree. Too big for this old man to handle.
Julie got a knee replacement and is recovering very well.
It's hard to believe that Thomas Thorgrimson is a grand dad.
It's Super Bowl Sunday. It 'll be the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles. We are backing th Eagles. Andre a bringing Jake's son Brenden to watch the game. Jake is Andrea's boy friend truck driver's son.
Diane's girls were out here this summer along with Jelleen, Andrea, Les, and brother Gregg and we all went on a dinner cruise. This was on the stern wheeler that travels from Cascade locks to Bonnaville damn and back to Cascade Locks. We had a blast and great food.
Sheba's 14 years old and having occasional spells of some kind. We got an 5-year old American Eskimo to someday replace Sheba. "Stormy" needs some training but she is learning and will someday be a very good dog.
We miss you very very much every day.
Loved you dearly,
Mom and dad

John,
Tomorrow is your birthday. You'd be 56 years old. We wish that your be growing old along with us.
The Omicron mask mandate is off both in Washington and in Oregon as well as most of the united states.
Andrea had to put lucy down. Lucy's brain was alert but the her hind legs quit working.
Andrea is still with us and looks like she'll be here for a long time.
We've been watching March Madness. We'd like to Boise go all the way but they are playing today and they're down by 13 in the second half.
We are making marble boards again. Got about 24 made and we're looking for more material.
We wish you were here. We will always miss you.
Have a happy birthday with all the family.

I often pray for you folks John, that peace overwhelms them, even though the hurt and pain of losing their son so young. I remember so many good times with you and your folks. Legos galore, going to Disneyland, me your cousin being your kinda big brother and best friend. You are truly missed, and I cherish our childhood together, my only wish was we would have reached out to each other as adults. Miss you and hope all is good and well! Thomas

Today is an anniversary date that we would rather never came about. That is; 12 years since your untimely passing. We Love you.
By chance, Face Book provided us with a poem which we thought would be very appropiate today.
This Rose is for our loved one in HEAVEN.
Not a day goes by that we don't think about you.

John,
We love you and miss you very much. This is especially true on Christmas. You made everybody feel warm and happy with your wit and humor.
We hope your are having a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.
Tis Christmas Day and we will be having Christmas dinner here. Special guests are Gregg, Leslie, and those of us that live here including Andrea and Lucy, Andrea's dog. We're supposed to get snow tonight and most of Sunday.
Remember we went to Bend with a group of your friends. We had more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Then, an accident cut the fun short when you cut your face with your ski. Got you doctored in Bend and headed out for home and Dr. Stone's office to get you fixed up. And, we're happy to report, all worked out just fine.
John, we wish you we're here. We really miss you and love you. Attached is a picture of Lucy and Sheba, the house dogs.

To say that we miss you is an understatement. We think of you every day in every thing we do.
Today is Thanks Giving 2021 and you should be here to help cook.
Hope your having a wonderful Thanks Giving with all the family and friends who have passed.
No thanks to covid-19 we're having a small Thanks Giving. There will only be seven people in attendance including yer mom and dad.
Andrea and Geri have been cooking and preparing for the celebration. And having a good time getting all the food ready.
We've got all of our Christmas up and presents are starting to appear under the tree.

John,
Happy 54th birthday. Doesn't see possible that your that old. Ya know how old that makes us? wow . . . . .
Andrea has been looking very hard for a house . She's not having any luck finding a house that meets her expectations. And, houses are going up in price.
Andrea had to put down Regan. Now we have two dogs in the house, Sheba and Lucy.
I have both my Covid-19 virus shots. Geri has had first one and the second will be done on the 26th of March. Had to push the second shot out three weeks after she got a Tetanus shot. Geri broke up a Sheba/Lucy dog fight and got bit.
We hope that every one does their part on getting their Covid shots. We want to get out and about and go cruising in the Nomad. No Nomad cruising in 2020. Locked down because of the Caronavirus.
We're going to replace the wood floors in the house with new planking. Phil will be doing the installation.
Andrea, Leslie, Dad and Mom will be going out for Mom's birthday. We will toast you.
We have been busy doing yard work.
Have a great Birthday.
Love ya a lot and miss you even more.

Hi John,
I think of you ever St. Paddy's Day as I know your birthday is next. You come to mind now and then, and I'm sure your folks think of you more than a few times per day.
I've been working out of Kenya, Africa recently for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on a new, mobile technology for doctors in the field, and thought about when you and I talked about a safari at some point. Well, I did that, and it was pretty incredible. I thought of you at the time, remembering that conversation many years ago with you. You would have loved it, but I know it cannot compare to the heavenly place you are in now. I hope you've met my grandparents, brother and mom by this time - I know they would really enjoy that!
It's been quite a year with Covid-19 across the globe, but we're on the mend, however gradually. I hope to get the vaccine in the near future, but the need is great. The world sure could use your humor right now as laughter really IS the best medicine. And, as you may know, Biden is in office! At least the past 4 years are finally behind us!
Happy birthday - you are missed and loved by many! We all look forward to seeing you again face-to-face.

Our Dearest Son,
It's been 11 years since we lost you. It doesn't get any easier.
It's been snowing off and on, mostly on, for the last three days. We have 6 to 8 inches in our back yard. Temperatures are running in the 20's at night and in the high 20's in the day time. It's supposed to warm into the 40's tomorrow, Sunday.
We wish you were here. We could build a snow man and have a snow ball fight or go cut donuts with the Mad.
A couple of weeks ago, the wind was really blowing and a 20' x 4-1/2" diameter limb came down and jabbed a hole in the roof about 12:30 am.
Startled everybody including the dogs. Called Phil and got Benny to come over and they got the limb out a the roof and onto the ground. Next day we called a contractor and got the roof repaired.
Today, Andrea and Mom are busy cleaning the kitchen.
Tell Doris that we could use a little help. Andrea is looking for a house and is having a hard time finding one that fits what she wants.
December 2019, we had a friend install a 290hp 350ci engine in the Nomad. We also had him install a snaper electronic fuel injection system. Then came the covis-19 pandemic. Can go no where. No break-in. So, we had the interior redone spring of 2020. Same color, same pattern (stock '57). The seats were in pretty bad shape. The guy replace about half of the springs. Bought seat covers from Clilf. Can't send you a picture cause we haven't been able to use the car. It's in the storage shed right now and, because of the weather, Andrea's car is in the garage. I'll be glad when the breaks so's I can get the car out the car barn and drive.
Well, that's a little bit of what's going on around here.
Wish you were here to help.
Happy Valentine's Day.
Tell Doris and all the rest Geri's and my families the we love them and we miss them all.
Love ya,

Hey John,
Ya know, It seems that every so often, they change the guest book updates page. But we'll deal with it.
Hey, thanks for helping me to find what ever it that I misplace, like my glasses.
Due the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be having a small Christmas get together. Guests include my brother Les, mom's brother Greg , my sister Andrea who is living with us until she can find a house, and yer mom and I.
Hope everybody is having a great Christmas where you all are.
The weather been pretty decent and we have been sticking pretty close to home due to the virus.
Wish you were here to help cook and enjoy opening Christmas presents. Speaking of Christmas presents Julie Warren sent us a Hallmark Keepsake collector's Series Christmas tree ornament, a1955
Chevrolet Nomad. Fits right into the collection we have.
We love you and miss you as much today as that fateful day in February 2010.

Hey, John,
Wishing you a happy birthday 53rd birthday. Williard Brunell passed away on Friday the 13th. The Brunell family has to wait for burial until after the coronavirias slows down. No crowds larger than 10 people.
Well, the Coronavirus has hit the world and created a pandemic. Restaurants, bars, Casinos, schools, and major businesses, have been required to close their doors. Restaurants are open for only take out.
Everybody has been asked to stay home to help flatten the curve on the coronavirius.
Geri , Andrea, and I seam to be in good health. We are doing well and staying home.
Sandy Lanz sent us a beautiful bouquet for your birthday. She sure has been considerate.
We had a 290hp/350ci engine with A Holley Sniper fuel injection system. Should help in power and fuel consumption.
Have a good day celebrating with all the family and friends.
We miss you loads,
Love,
Mom and dad and Sheba
February 12, 2020
Hey John, How ya doin? Very well, I hope.
It's been 10 years since you passed away. We miss you so very much. Sure do wish you was here to help us celebrate Valentine's Day.
We hired a friend to install a new engine and fuel injection system in the Nomad. really sounds good. But, we need to get about 1000 miles on the engine so we can change out the break-in oil.
We drove it up the Washington side to Stevenson yesterday. The car drove, handled, and sounded really good. We put 80 more miles on the engine.
Andrea and the dogs are still looking for a house, with property, that is affordable. I don't believe that there is one around. These dogs are always hungry. One of them will sometimes eat dog poop to fill in the empty space in her stomach.
Love you so very much,
Mom and Dad

December 25, 2019
John,
It's Christmas 2019. Sure wish you were here to help in all the preparations, dinners, get togethers, and, of course, the opening of all the gifts of love.
We are members of the Route 26 Cruisers from Sandy, Oregon. This year, Ed got "elected" president of the club. I feel that this is a great honor and will do my best to be a leader of the club.
A week ago, several members and your mom and I went to Coos Bay, Oregon and stayed at the Mill Casino in North Bend.
From there we went to Coquile to the Sawdust Theater for a great play called The Plight Before Christmas. It was really good. We laughed and booed and awhed, and cheered all the way through. From there we all went across the street to a pizza place for eats. Mm-m-m-m-m-m- good
After all this, you'd think we would be ready to go back to the motel and relax. No such luck.
We all headed out to Shore Acres State Park to view all the Christmas lights. Man, what a display. Thousands of lights. Lots of Christmas trees and birds and whales, and seals all made up from Christmas lights. Wow! What a display. WE will do this trip to the coast again. And, the weather was great.
Andrea and Paul divorced a year ago last October. They sold their house last summer and Andrea moved in with us until she finds a house that fits her needs and desires to move into. She also brought two dogs, a black lab and a brown lab. Did Jordy always want to eat. These dog sure do. You feed them and as soon as the finish their serving, they're begging for more.
John, we love and miss your every minute of every day. Occasionally there will be a song played that will remind us of you and your very happy life, and we get tears in our eyes. We will love you even after we meet again.
With all our love,
Mom and Dad and Sheba

Hi John. I think of you every St. Patrick's Day...the reddish hair, the contagious smile, though I know your b-day is just one day afterward, and just before spring. I won't ramble - as you can see, I will always remember you - though that's the case with everyone you touched. God bless your mom and dad - such good people - they miss you more than anyone else. I only know because I lost a brother. Happy belated birthday (one day late - sorry about that). I know you had one heck of a party there! Happy spring, John.
March 16, 2019
Dear John,
March 18, 1967. Oh, how I remember that day. I was staying at Jane's helping her after she had little toes amputated.
John (doc) was celebrating on the phone with one of his Irish buddies. We needed him to drive me to the hospital. What a trip that was. He had been drinking. Need we say more.
Your dad was off in the Navy so he could not be with us.
For the last year I have been going through hell with pain in my back. Dad has been helping and doing just about everything.
I started out getting injections in my back. Had about 4 sets of injections. The last set lasted only about three days.
After talking with the doctor, we decided to get a Spinal Cord Stimulator surgically installed in my back. This was all to be done in a the doctors pain clinic which is a surgical center.
First you have to do trial to see if you are a candidate for the permanent Spinal Cord Stimulator. The trial went great.
After a week, I had the permanent SCS installed. When I came out of anisteasa, my pain went to 40 on a scale of 1 to 10.
My stomach was in knots.
The doctors could not control my pain so I was transported to Adventist Medical Center. The pain was still impossible to live with. After three days, the doctor decided to pull the stimulator. Two days later, the pain started to calm down.
Now, on your birthday, I'm going back into the hospital to have the stimulator re-installed.
Please get the whole gang with you to pray that all goes as planned.
I am so very scared. But, I cannot go living with all this pain.
Your dad has been doing just about everything including cooking breakfast. Neighbors and friends have been bring over dinners. T hank god for all our friends.
Now, on a lighter note, Sandi and Blain Leiz have been over to visit. Sandi even brought dinner for last week.
The want to go to some car shows with us. We plan to do that this summer.
Sandi is sure a sweet heart. She is caring for her mom, Betty.
Karin has been coming over every month and working on dad's toe fungus. After about a year, she getting them t o look pretty good.
Julie Warren id coming over to see us this weekend. I called Sandi and she is excited to see Julie.
John, Please look after me Monday.
Love you
Miss you terribly,Mom and dad

Bald Eagles
February 12, 2019
John,
It's been nine years since your passing. We think of you every day and miss you so very much.
On January 11th 2019,, we lost Geri's best friend and sister Diane. So now, you have Diane, Jane, Doris, and dad's mom Melba to dance and sing with.
Geri has been having a lot of trouble with her lower back She has gone through several series of shots to relieve the pain. Hasn't worked. She is going to have a spinal cord stimulator implant. This device will block the pain signal from the nerves. We pray that this stimulator will work.
Sandi and Blaine stopped by few weeks ago. Man, did they find a barn fine. It's a 1968 (?) Mustang. After all the dust was cleaned off and it got waxed, It turned out to be absolutely beautiful. I believe that it has only about 35, miles on it. Sandi and Blaine want to go a couple of cruises with us. We think that our car club may have too many old people in it. But, it should be fun as most of us older people are fun to be with.
Say, a couple of days ago we spotted a pair of bald eagles at the top of a fir tree in our neighborhood. They are really magnificent birds.
We got some work done on the mad this winter. Removed the upper lift gate and had it re-bowed. And, we followed that with the installation of a one piece front bumper. The car looks great.
Love you and miss you,
Mom and Dad

Tomorrow is your 51st birthday. We're sure you are having a great time with all your cousins, grand parents and friends.
We miss you dearly. You had so many chapters in your life. Being a hospice nurse was your calling and you were very good at it.
There is never a day that goes by that we don't think of you. We will always miss you and wish you were here.
By the way, we bought a new car. The Mazda 6 was just getting to difficult to get in and out of. So we bought a Hyundis Santa Fe SUV. Getting in and out of that car is very easy.

Hey John. I was flipping through old pictures today, finding many of you. All I can remember is your laugh, amazing creativity, love for your family and friends, Jordy, bravery in the face of obstacles, brains and incredible ability to grasp anything new....but mostly your ability to bring people together. I'm moving to a warmer climate this year, remembering how much you loved the sun on Alki. I find comfort knowing you are more alive than ever. No matter where I go, no matter what I do, I will always be grateful for getting the chance to know you and have you in my life. I know this is early, but happy March birthday. I miss you.

It's Christmas 2017. Sure do wish you were here. Christmas 2017 will be remembered as the winter of White Christmas.
The house is all decorated for the holidays, inside and outside.
Take a look at Mom's peacock feather decorated Christmas tree. It looks great.
We're cooking dinner with the help of friends and family. We're having prime rib, ham, salads, develed eggs, pies, and etc.
Andrea, Les, Ken and Pat, Melody and Benjo, and Mom and I will be gathered around the Christmas dinner while we watch

After dinner, and desert, we will be opening gifts.
Tell all the family that we miss them all.
Love ya always,

Finally, Completed
November 23, 2017
John,
Attached is a picture of the Mad after final paint and polish and after the assembly was completed. Now it's the correct Matador Red and India Ivory.
We had lot's of plans for the summer with the Nomad, but, one June 13th, I had an accident while trimming shrubbery. I fell off a step ladder and shattered my left ankle.
So, after three surgeries, two plates, and 17 screws, and lots of rehab, I'm getting around pretty good.
Your mom is dealing with asthma and the breathing issues associated with asthma.
We are going to the Airport Way Shilo cause mom does not feel good enough to cook. The Shilo puts on a pretty good Thanks Giving dinner for $20.00 each.
Les and Andrea and Pat and Ken Beaver will be going with us. we will have fun.
We went to West Yellow Stone last September. The drive there was good with great weather. The drive home was good with great weather. We were there three days all three of which had rain and/or snow. But we had a good time with family.
We Love you and miss you very terribly.

John,
Happy 50th Birthday and Happy St. Patrick's Day.
Gosh, sure wish you were here. We miss you very very much.
We remember that on Mom's 50th birthday you were living in Maryland. We went and stayed with you. You took us by the subway to Washington D.C. We really enjoyed visiting all the different Smithonian museums and all.
We're working on the Nomad and are getting close to having it all reassembled. It's looking pretty good. But, it seems that every thing has a mind of it's own on just how it is going back together.
Your Easter decoration, the looney toon rabbit, is on our kitchen table.
Tom Guttenberg and his wife, Jennifer, will be here Sunday night and stay for a few days before proceeding on to Seattle.
The weather here has been wet and cold. Spring is just about here but it's is still cold.
Greet all the family. Tell them that we miss them.
Have a wonderful day.
Love you loads,

Dear John,
Another month, another year, another winter and another summer, but, there can never be another you.We really miss you.
It's February 13th and it will be seven years since your passing. And, the pain of losing you has not gotten any easier.
All the memories of you resides in our hearts and lights up our darkest days. We will always remember all the fun times we shared together. Your sense of humor will forever live within our hearts.
We wish you could be here to share all the excitement of having the Nomad redone. It is just absolutely beautiful. It looks better than when it first hit the showroom floor.
Now you belong to heaven and our life is very empty without your smile. Greet all the family.
Love and hugs

Merry Christmas John,
It's the morning of December 25th, 2016. Christmas is here again. We love you very much and miss you terribly.
Well, mom's been really sick for the last 6 to 7 weeks but she is finally getting better. She is not coughing much and she is getting more active. She still pushers herself and doesn't take enough breaks but, that's yer mom. Caring for others.
The Mad is getting painted and we should bew getting it back the first or second week of January. Then I go to work on it installing the interior and body chrome. It is going to be absolutely beautiful.
We are going to Andrea's and Paul's for brunch today. Joe, Les, Andrea, Paul, and Geri and I will be eating snacks, crab and artichoke and enjoying Christmas together. And watching some national football.
Greet all the family and give them our love.
We will love you forever,
Mom and Dad

Getting all the paint stripped
November 24, 2016
Hey John Happy Thanks Giving,
Mom's in here cooking up a storm. Sure could use your help. We miss you.
We are having 11 people for dinner. Andrea and Paul, Les, Greg, Ken and Pat Beaver and one of their granddaughters, Wanda and Cliff Waldron, and your mom and me.
In the news: I scratched the passenger side rear fender on the Nomad. So it's getting a make over. Interior is out, windows are all out, dash is stripped, fenders and hood are coming off all for an exterior repaint. It's going to be repainted matador red and India ivory as is. But a whole lot better paint job.
We also got a new 2016 Ram Limited Edition half ton crew cab pickup. The color is solid pearl white. We're taking the truck in to be pin stripped at the end of November. The guy is said to be as good as Mitch Kim, or better. Next September, we will be driving the truck to northern Minnesota to attend a wedding.
Greet all the family and friends,
Love and miss you so much,
Mom and Dad

John, Happy Valentine's Day,
The following is a writing in a valentines day card from our very good friend Wanda and Cliff. You know, Cliff's Classic Chevrolet. "Keep you both close in my thoughts and prayers. I know it is difficult time for you. I sure doesn't seem like 6 years since your beautiful son John went to heaven. Miss that smile-----
I love you,
Wanda"
We do miss you John, every day. Not a day , hour, or minute goes by that we don't think of you and your smile. Aw shucks John, we can't even write this note without getting the paper all wet.
Dad had left rotator cuff surgery on February 02. Every thing is going fine.

Hey, John. Merry Christmas. Sorry it's been so long since I said hello here. I've thought of you often. I was in Africa for awhile with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation doing technology work related to HIV. It was rewarding and humbling work. Back now for the winter.
You are missed more than you know, but never, ever forgotten. You have impacted many lives in great ways....including mine. I know you're making my mom and brother laugh in Heaven with you. ...you always made people laugh and enjoy life. You are one of a kind. More soon....take care.

Hi John,
I talk on the phone to your mom almost every day. She is doing good ,but does miss you a lot. We both share memories of the fun we had with you and the good old days. They had a beautiful party celebrating 50 years together. You were there in spirit dancing and having fun with us. I have much to be thankful for and one of the many blessing in my life is having a sister called Geri. She is remarkable and always puts family first. I have to share the news that I will be a great grandma in May. we are excited! Jen is going over to you parents for thanksgiving dinner I am sure many memories of past thanksgiving dinners will be on her mind. I know that you are spending time with family today too and listening to songs sung by Jane. Oh we do have such fond memories! Love, Aunt Colleen

John, Happy Thanks Giving,
Did our 50th wedding anniversary October 10th. There were 200 people who came to the party including family and friends. All of Jane's kids were there, all of Diane's kids were there and all of Coleen's kids were there. Gregg and all his kids were there also. Many of the family's children and grandchildren were enjoying the evening including Steven's grand child "Peanut".
Becky and her husband were there also. Becky misses you terribly. I danced with her for awhile and we talked about you.
We all miss you a lot. I know you were there in spirit but we would rather have you there in body and mind.
A lot of our friends from our car club, Route 26 Cruisers, were there also. Every body had a great time.
Paul and Andrea did the dinner which included plank salmon and flat iron steak. Salads and deserts were made by many friends and family volunteers.
Mom's cooking tomorrow and could really use you help. Actually, she's been cooking (preparing) dinner for the last three days.
We will be having 12 people for dinner. The Thanks Giving festivities will start around 3:00pm with dinner at 5:30.
John, we love you and miss you very much.
Much love,

We are just about all done with the kitchen upgrades. We miss you not being here to cook your great food.

Our loving son,
Today is 5 years since your passing and we miss you so terribly.
Wished you were here to help us with our remodeling.
The weather has been beautiful and "warm", 60. We are going clamming again one of these day. It's fun and Ken and Pat go with us. They are good people. Oh, yea, Sheba gets to ride along. She won't help dig the clams cause she is afraid of the water.
Hope you and your grandmothers, Aunt Jane and other various cousins are having a good time.
We miss John,
Love and "happy Valentines Day"

Christmas Tree 2014
December 25, 2014
Our Dear Son John,
Here's a quote from a Thanks Giving card that Wanda sent us. And, it is very fitting.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal."
We miss you very much. The cooking and the kitchen mess. Your very different Christmas trees. The fun we have had opening all gifts.
Hope you and Jane and your grandmothers are all having a wonderful get together. With all you excellent cooks, you all should have a very good Christmas meal.
We had a nice Christmas eve at Paul and Andrea's house. We are going to have a very nice Christmas dinner here with loads of family and friends coming over to enjoy each other and the dinner.
Sheba got into the cookies last night.
Love and Hugs,

Hi John. I'm so glad your mom and dad left this page online. I was thinking about you today, December 22nd. I remembered the year you wanted that Christmas tree with all the jewelery and Judy Garland shoes. Everyone thought it would be strange...It was amazing and everyone loved it! Your mom gave us a ton of old costume jewelry to make the tree perfect... I can't begin to imagine Christmas where you are...the music...the brightness...the joy. You are missed, but never, ever forgotten. Merry Christmas to you, my brother and my mom - you are all in the same, safe place now. I miss all of you. And a Merry Christmas to your wonderful parents.

John,
Happy Birthday.
Here's a poem we have that reflects our love for you.
To Our Son With Love,
I think we knew the day you came,
Our lives would never be the same.
You looked up at us with big round eyes,
And a gentle touch would stop your cries.
We couldn't wait for each day to start,
To see what memories you'd paint on our hearts.
The way you screamed and jumped up and down,
The first time the fire engine raced through town.
Lying in the grass watching the sky,
As puffy white rabbits and cats floated by.
Your first day of school brought so many fears,
Bur our brave little man held back the tears.
The first time you rode your bike up the street,
Till you realized we weren't holding the seat.
All the pictures you drew, all the cards you made,
The first present you bought us with the money you saved.
You grew and matured and struggled thru the years,
Of teenage crushes and meshing gears.
And now you're a man with warm caring ways,
Your love and humor have helped to fill our days.
The memories you gave us, the laughter, the fun,
Are precious jewels we'll treasure forever: Our Son
Love you always,
Mom and Dad

John, we miss you terribly. Best wishes to you and all your family and friends there in heaven.
Special wishes to your new kitchen help, Jane and Barbara.
The following poem was given to us by Father Tim.
Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below,
With tiny lights, like heavens stars reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear'
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart,
But I am not so far away. We really are not apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones. You know I hold you dear,
And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent a special gift from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important In the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as my father said to do,
For I can't count the blessings or love He has for each of you.
So, have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear.
Remember I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
Love and miss ya John,
Mom and Dad

Hey John,
Are you showing Jane the ropes as Daniel showed you.
Thanks Giving is tomorrow and we are having Andrea and Paul, Les, Ken and Pat Beaver over for dinner. We're smoking a turkey. Hope it turns out, but really, Mom's cooking and I have no doubts.
Sunday, we had Jane's family over for dinner. What a feast. We all had a great time talking about Jane's life and the things she did. We're still struggling with your untimely death and now, we struggle with Jane's death also. I guess that we are so lucky to have known both of you. Teach her the words to the Christmas songs.
We miss you John.
Love,
Dad and Mom

Hi, John. I'm grateful your mom and dad (thanks, Ed and Geri) left this guest book open. I think of you often, and I know your birthday is coming up very soon. As you can see, I will never forget you - I think of you quite often, actually. Thanks for your forgiveness and compassion - you had (and have) an amazing spirit.
I know you're more alive now than ever - and that all of us will eventually join you in a place far beyond our wildest dreams. This life on earth is temporary...you are in everlasting life....safe, free... You are missed, but I know you are leading the way, several steps ahead of the rest of us. But that is just "YOU"...you always were the bold, courageous spirit! Your birthday is this month. I travel a great deal these days in my work, but you will be on my mind. I thought you might be OK with me saying "Happy Birthday" now... You are missed.

You will always remain an important chapter of my life. You and your parents showed me how to enhance the lives of my own three children. Although we became "friends" on facebook, we never talked directly. Just please know how much I appreciate what you did for me. Your love of life lives on. --Laura

This is the second year without you at Christmas. Oh, how we miss you.
One of our friends sent us an e-mail with a group playing "Ode to Joy". You remember playing tis at Father Tim's family mass?
Dad and I have been trying to stay very busy making candy for all the cousins that live here. And we're making candy for the neighbors and some friends.
Paul is cooking Christmas dinner at our house because there is good chance that they will have several inches of snow on the ground making it difficult to get up their steep driveway. Really wish you wee here to cook with Paul.

Our dearest son John,
It's Thanks Giving 2012. God, we wish you were here. But . . . .

There will be three different kinds of dressing, mashed potatoes and gravey, Andrea's beet salad, Les's bean casserole, Jennifer's spinach salad, Michelle and Phil's fruit salad, broccoli salad, califlower with peas and pea sauce, macroni and cheese, and Wrights tofu salad, And, of course, there will be a bevy of appitizers before dinner. We will have four pies for desert, a pumkin, peppermint cream, coconut cream, and a chocolate turtle pie.
We will be drinking some home brew and home made wine.
There will be about 18 people for dinner. Perhaps 19 if my mother decides to come to dinner.

Ed and Geri when I saw this it reminded me so much of John
As I exit here safe in Heaven
And watch you everyday
I try to let you with signs
I never went away
I hear you when you're laughing
And I watch you as you sleep
I even place my arms around you
To calm you as you weep
I see you wish the days away
As you beg to have me home
So I try to send messages
So you know you're not alone
Don't feel guilty that you have life
That was denied of me
Oh, heaven is truly beautiful
Just you wait and see
Please live your life and laugh again
Enjoy yourself,be free
Then I'll know with every breathe you take
You are taking one for me!

John, Son, Best Friend,
It's February 13th. The most horrible day in our lives, and yours, and our families lives was two years ago today. Jeleen, Paul, Jenifer, Mitch, Gregg and Luke came over to offer us, and you, help in getting through this most difficult time.
We spent the after noon at the Lucky Eagle where mom did well and dad did, well, you know.
We know life goes on, but it sure isn't the same. So often, mom picks up the phone to get advice on a recipe, but. . . . .
Hope you and Daniel are together and keeping a smile on all our loved ones faces with your sense of humor.
The phone rang a half ring twice this morning. Was that you saying good morning and that you love us? We think so.
We cannot say enough to tell you how much we love and miss you. Whitney Houston said it in song, "We will always Love You".
With all our love,
Mom and Dad

John,
Last night went to your Mom and Dad for a fest, it was as great as always. I wore your Christmas tie and socks, it was in remember of you. I have your bracelet which I never taken off, I am sorry that I did not spend more time in your adult life with you. I was to self centered and into my self abuse, I regret that. The New Year brings out of fear to me the not knowing; so my prays of guidance of out to you and Mom. I need faith to carry me thru, and sometime is hard to maintain. I hoping that perhaps something will come and maybe be better for me and Jan. Keep you in my mind and prayers, trying to stay positive. You are my God child, so watch over me ok.
