JOANN M. THOMAS

JoAnn M. Thomas passed away peacefully at her home May 11, 2022, after a seven year courageous battle with cancer. Born Jan. 22, 1940, in Bowman, ND, to Arthur and LaVonne Rolfsnes, JoAnn was preceded in death by her son, Michael John Thomas; and sister, Thelma Riggs. Survivors include her loving partner of 33 years, Clayton “Tony” Larson; daughters, Cheri Martin (George) and Teri Anderson; nine grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Aislinn King, Ryan Cole, Kristopher Cole, Melissa Guptill, Rachel Bierlink, Tim Cole, Emily Cole, and Jessie Anderson; 12 great-grandchildren, Landon, Dylan, Elias, Amelie, Anorah, Shelby, Dallas, Avery, Colter, Cavanaugh, Austyn, and Lindi; sister, Sharon Schill (Neil); brother, Tom Dokos; daughter-in-law, Zada Hazen; nephew, Rod Riggs; nieces, Melinda Teeny, Tanya Castillo, Valerie Singh.
JoAnn graduated from Hudson’s Bay High School in 1958 and worked in the insurance business for many years. She was happiest when she was on her “property” driving the tractor, spending time with family and friends at the “campsite”, hanging out with her dogs, and enjoying the peace and beauty of nature. She will be missed by her family and her many friends. A celebration of life will be held at her campsite in Dole Valley on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5, from Noon to 3 p.m. All who knew and loved JoAnn are welcome.

Our condolences to Cheri & Teri and all Joann´s family. We are so sorry to learn she is gone. She was/is a beautiful lady, a beautiful person. We are so glad we had the privilege of knowing her.
