EUGENE (GENE) CHARLES BAKER

Eugene Charles Baker passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 31.
He was born in Graceville, MN, on Oct. 12, 1948.
After graduating for high school. Gene went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force where he received the status of Sargent before honorably being discharged. He then moved to Camas, WA. After briefly working at the Camas papermill, he started a small engine business, Baker’s Power Equipment, with his father Elroy. They sold the business in 1984, where he went on to drive truck Vend Products Dist. until his retirement in 2011. After his retirement, He was known to spend time working on small engine equipment for friends and family.
Gene is survived by his son, William Baker of Camas, WA; daughters, Lana Paulson of Thorton, CO, and Dawn Lott of Camas, WA; sister, Charlotte (Lewis) Hevron of Camas, WA; brother, Keith (Carol) Baker of Washougal, WA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 637 NE Franklin St. Camas, WA from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are encouraged to stop by and share stories/memories of Gene.
