In the morning hours of Aug. 24, 2021, Elizabeth (Beth) Nugent passed away peacefully. Beth was born in Vancouver, WA, to James and Lora Wyers. Most of her early life was spent in the Chelatchie and Amboy areas. Shortly after her marriage to M. Wallace (Wally) Nugent, they moved to the Fern Prairie area in Camas where she resided for the rest of her life. Beth recently celebrated her 90th birthday party surrounded by family and friends. She was laid to rest with her husband at Chelatchie Cemetery.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wally Nugent and her grandson, Timothy Nugent. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Arai (Mike) of Camas; her sons, Les (Sandy) of Manchester, WA, and Jamie (Ivy) of Seattle, WA; her sister, Marion Overfield of La Quinta, CA; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity in her name.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Beth. My husband Larry & I enjoyed Wally and Beth in the 49ers camping group and Beth on casino trips. They both always seemed pleasant and positive - bright lights with fascinating histories. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
