CURTIS LEROY RINK

Curtis Leroy Rink was born June 23, 1939, in Paton, IA. Curtis passed away April 23, 2022, with his wife by his side. Curtis was born to parents George and Lois Rink. He was preceded in death by his two older brothers, Larry and Dennis. He moved to Washougal, WA, at a young age. He attended Washougal School District, graduating High School in 1957. Curtis went onto Clark College and played college baseball.
Curtis married Colleen Kaye Donovan on August 13, 1960. Curtis and Colleen were married 62 years.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Colleen; son, Keith Rink; two daughters, Kimberly Daniels and Karmel Baldwin; three grandchildren, Katie Beaty, Kerri Daniels, Kassidy Baldwin; and two great-grandchildren.
Curtis worked for the US Post Office in Washougal, WA, and retired after 35 1/2 years of service. In retirement, Curtis enjoyed watching sports and especially loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. In addition, he liked to travel,and garden. Weekly Curtis looked forward to his pinochle night with his friends. He was a very good card player and especially liked playing poker with his friends and in tournaments.
He was a kind, patient and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend who supported all of us. Our loss is great.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 324 NE Oak Street, Camas, WA 98607.

go out to you and your family. It is such a small world,I found out later in life that our Dads played sports together at Washougal High School when they were young. Sending prayers to you all.

Colleen, our prayers are with you and your family. Curtis was a good man. Whenever we saw him at Church, he always greeted us with warmth and a pleasant smile. He will be missed. May God hold him in the palm of His hand.

I have great memories of watching Curtis play basketball for the Washougal Panthers in the mid fifties. He was an excellent point guard and so much fun to watch. My sincere condolences to the Rink family, and to his many friends. He lived life well. Rest in peace, Curtis.
