Bob Grisham Obituary

Dec. 5, 1931 ~ Feb. 13, 2008- Bob Grisham passed away from a brain aneurysm on Feb. 13, 2008 at the age of 76. He was born in Holland, Arkansas on Dec. 5, 1931. After Bob graduated from Arkansas Teachers College in 1957, he relocated his young family to Vancouver, WA. Bob loved this area, but always remembered his southern roots and family. Bob had many interests: his 1st priority was always his family, he loved to debate (any subject), to hunt and fish with his sons-in-law, gardening and woodworking and cross word puzzles. Bob enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War-1950 to 1953 and held the rank of Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class. He served 2 tours in Japan on the USS Kenneth Whiting. Bob worked 18 years for Standard Oil Co., he had his own land clearing business and was well known throughout the county. His 2nd career as a Realtor for GMAC Signature Real Estate gave him many friends who were very special to him. Bob is survived by the love of his life, wife Beverly. They just celebrated 54 years of marriage on January 1, 2008; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Teresa and Dan Worth, Sherrie Grisham and Jim Hutchison, Angela and Ron McKee; seven grandchildren, Lisa Worth, Kim (Cory) Christiansen, Shawna (Bob ) Portner, Hayley McKee, Tonya Worth, Wedge (Shari) Mc Kee, Clayton McKee; five great-grandchildren, Brock, Hunter, Jesse, Brooklyn, and Madilyn; three brothers, Lowell, Charles (Sue), Dewell (Lotis); and one sister, Barbara Coker, all of Arkansas. A celebration of Bob's life will be held Sat., Feb. 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Internment with military honors will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name, may be mailed to the Arkansas Family Cemetery c/o Oakland Cemetery Fund, 784 Hwy 287, Vilonia, AR. 72173
