WILLIAM "BILL" ELWIN COLDWELL
September 28, 1932 ~ October 18, 2015
Bill was born in Vancouver, WA and passed away in Vancouver. He graduated from Vancouver High in 1950. He enjoyed the class reunions and luncheons.
Bill was in the Air Force for 20 years as an Air Traffic Controller, spending time in England, Germany, Mississippi and Viet Nam.
After retirement, he ran a landscape business for several years.
Bill enjoyed playing golf as often as possible and ran tournaments. He was active in church, having a deep faith in God. He spent many hours on genealogy for his and Marilyn's family, tracing his line back to 1650.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Jacquelyn Serafin of Chuluota, FL, Debra Archer of England, William T. of Ridgefield, and Steven of Fellixstowe, England; stepchildren, Christine Pierce and Anthony Johnson, both of Issaquah, WA; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Doering of Portland and Jeanne Coldwell of Vancouver; and his brothers, Charles of Seattle and Jim of Mt. Vernon.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Vancouver First Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Open House Ministries.
