WILLIAM ARTHUR CONDON
May 31, 1930 ˜ January 21, 2019

William Arthur Condon, 88, passed away on January 21, 2019 after being hospitalized for more than two months due to a severe heart condition.
William, known as Bill to everyone, and Papa to his grandson Ryan Weber and granddaughter-in-law, Heather, was born in Port Angeles, Washington to Rio and William Arthur Condon, Sr. on May 31, 1930.
He served honorably in the Korean War, where he was a decorated Marine, including a Purple Heart.
Bill met and married the love of his life, Wanda Davis in 1955. They were happily married before losing Wanda to cancer after 42 years of marriage.
After retiring, Bill and Wanda moved to the home they built in Vancouver, WA, where they quickly made lasting friendships with treasured neighbors.
While on his own, Bill enjoyed cooking, watching baseball and the stock market and working in his yard. In later years, Bill’s family met each year on his birthday to help spread bark dust and plant new flowers. It was a day that all involved looked forward to each year.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Caren Condon-Weber (husband Rick); son, Craig (wife Linda); his grandson, Ryan Weber (wife Heather) and their brand new baby boy, Nolan William Weber, born December of 2018 and carries his great-grandfather’s name.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd., Gresham, OR 97030.
