W.D. SMITH
April 22, 1920 ˜ October 24, 2018

W.D. - Bill, Willie, Papa Smerf, Grizz - Smith, formerly of Washougal, WA, passed away on Oct. 24th at 98.
Bill retired from Tidland Machine in Camas, WA, then worked at Pacific Machine and Development for another 30 plus years.
Bill was an avid hunter - trout fisherman and clam digger. He hosted years of camping trips complete with Champaign breakfasts and forced marches through the woods, served as President of the Happy Hopper’s square dance club, acted as crew chief for a vintage car racer and the list goes on.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Janice Hobson (Phil) and Sherrie Holdsworth (Kevan).
Bill was a retired Air Force Major and will be buried in Willamette National Cemetery. A memorial will be held at a later date.
