WARREN KEITH UNZELMAN
February 6, 1922 - May 20, 2018

Born in Everett, Washington to Louis and Meta Unzelman. He graduated from Everett High where he met the love of his life, Esther Lande. They were married in 1942 and he enlisted in the Navy, 1942-1945. He enjoyed telling stories of his time in the South Pacific during WW II.
He joined Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance in 1948. He and Esther moved to Seattle in the early 50's where he sold insurance and obtained his CLU, chartered life underwriters designation. He retired from Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance in the 90's
Warren was always active in the Lutheran Church and very involved in the Lutheran Lay Witness Renewal program, which took he and Esther to other churches around the Pacific Northwest.
He belonged to a number of organizations, some being PLU Board of Regents, Rotary and American Legion, and Toastmasters. In the 90's he and Esther moved to Vancouver, WA. After Esther passed away, he took up water color painting and he learned to play mah jong.
He is survived by his daughter, Carole Langsdorf; son-in-law Mike; grandchildren, Jason Unzelman-Langsdorf, his wife Lehmann Koo; Jennifer Royer, her husband Brendan and three great grandchildren, Shawn and Kayla Royer and Audrey Unzelmen-Langsdorf.
Donations may be made to Hospice, SW Washington, World Vision, or the Emmett Pyatt Foundation.
A celebration of life will be held on July 2, 2018 at Touchmark, Vancouver, Washington at 2:00 p.m.
