"Wanita with a "W" and Gray like my hair!"

"I'm sorry I wasn't as good as some thought I was,
but I'm glad I wasn't as bad as others thought I was!"

You're reading this, so I must be dead and have already joined the innumerable caravan which moves to that mysterious realm. I died peacefully at age 88, on Valentines Day in Vancouver, WA, surrounded by family and friends.
Though I am ready for the greatest adventure of all, I reluctantly leave my loving and devoted family: daughters, Debra Lynn Gray, Danita Lou (Randall) Burgess, Dawn Litte Danielsen and Danell Lenore Danielsen; and grandchildren, James (Mary) McSherry, Dylan McSherry and Dana Sadewasser. I have cherished the love they heaped upon me.
I was born in Chicago, moved to Iowa in my teens, spent twenty-two years as a farm wife, moved to Portland, OR in 1972, moved to Nome, AK in 1979, and moved to Vancouver, WA in 1984.
I worked in offices all but five of thirty six years when I bartended in NE Portland. During this period I met exceptional people who eagerly shared "my delayed adolescence" and tagged me with the nickname of "W". They must wonder (as I did) how we survived our exciting experiences.
I have lived an adventurous satisfying life of my own choosing with no regrets and have been fortunate to love and be loved.
My mother, Lydia, taught me the creed by which I lived;
"Live your life so you never have to cross the street,
no matter who you see coming."
A private memorial will be held later this spring.
