March 20, 1935 ˜ March 25, 2021

Wanda (Dolly) McEvoy, born March 20, 1935, in Fort Worth, TX, died at home peacefully surrounded by her family on March 25, 2021, just five days following her 86th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Josephine Pool; and three brothers, Albert Edgar, Bobby, and Charles Pool.
Wanda is survived by a loving family, including her daughter, Karen Uno and her husband Doug; her son, Tony Miles; and daughter, Donna Gadberry and her husband Brad; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by Patricia Howe, her long-term caregiver, friend, and adopted daughter.
Wanda left Texas as a young woman and raised her children in Southern California, where she worked as a Purchasing Agent, Realtor, and Loan Officer. She relocated to Vancouver, WA, in her retirement to be closer to her family.
She enjoyed sharing her love of gardening, sewing, and cooking with her children and grandchildren. The family would like to extend deep appreciation to Peace Health Southwest Hospital and Hospice who lovingly cared for our mother.
“Surrounded by your glory what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still? Take the dance Mom, you’re forever in our hearts”

I was so sorry to hear that Wanda had passed on. I so enjoyed my talks with her as I took Wanda to Dialysis every Saturday night and pick her up. I work for VanGuard.
