Vivian Elaine De Siervo, 89, of Groton, CT, went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2018. She was born June 7, 1929 to Minnie and Anthony Madonna. She enjoyed life - as a youth playing the piano, cheerleading, and drama clubs.
Vivian was a Sunday school teacher, actor, model, prayer warrior, active in Sea Scouting BSA, Concerned Woman for America, and many other organizations. She was an active member of the local church wherever she resided, politics, and helping others. She was a homemaker and sold Fuller Brush and Sarah Coventry Jewelry. As a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Child Development/Psychology she pursued her passion of helping children by serving as an elementary school teacher.
Vivian leaves behind her son, Marshall Parsons and his wife, Barbara; granddaughter, Michele Kennington and her husband, Rick; nieces, Becky and Jenny with their husbands, Doug and Eric; and cousin, Lorraine Burner and her husband, Cecil of Colorado. In addition, she has grandchildren, Connor, Sean, Patrick, Kathryn, Danielle and Cynthia, several great-grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Parsons; and her husbands, Sylvester Regula, Wayne Parsons and Dr. Thomas De Siervo.
As Vivian was an active hostess and opened her home to many - the family will have an open house and receive friends at her residence at 124 Brandegee Avenue in Groton, CT on Friday, November 23 from 5p.m.-8p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 1p.m.-2p.m. with a time of fellowship to follow until 5p.m. Interment will be at convenience of the family in Florence, CO.
Her passion for teaching children in the local school turned to focusing on youth in their spiritual walk. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, send donations to Faith 2 Faith Ministries, Inc. which is a ministry that Vivian deeply cared about. F2fmi is spreading the gospel through youth centered, community-based outreach in partnership with the church. Makes checks payable to f2fmi, PO Box 510, New London, CT 06350 or on the web at
