"Heaven will never be the same with her
"I-can't-breathe-anymore" laughter."

Violet Mann of Vancouver, WA, went home to be with the Lord on Fri., Feb. 18, 2011. She was born to Frank and Frieda Legato in 1923 in eastern Montana where she grew up with two sisters and three brothers. The family moved to Vancouver where Vi went to work in the shipyards as a burner.
She met and married John Mann and moved to Iowa where their son, Ron, was born. In 1952 they returned to Vancouver where Violet worked for Kaiser Permanente for 30+ years.
After retiring from Kaiser she went to work in her church office.
"I can still remember the sound of her high heels on the
slate floors as she collected the Sunday school attendance books."
Violet loved to work in the yard and make banquet sized dinners for friends and family. Her greatest desire was to be with her close friends and family in heaven for eternity.
She is survived by her son, Ron Mann and his wife, Debbie; grandsons, Christopher and Sean Mann; brother, Norman Legato; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
I dare not forget her many lady friends who gave comfort and support, and to them I say, "God bless you for sharing your love with such a loving soul!"
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, John; sisters, Virginia and Cecelia; and brothers, Albert and Robert. They are united again.
There will be a viewing at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Fri., Feb. 25 from noon to 9:00 p.m. and cryptside service on Sat., Feb. 26 at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held at the First Evangelical Church, 4120 NE St. Johns Rd., on Sat., Feb. 26 at 1:00 p.m.
