Vernon Roland Smith, 72, passed away at home in Vancouver, WA. He was born Feb. 17, 1942 to Della and Roland Smith in Portland, OR where he graduated from Jefferson High School.
Vernon served in the U.S. Air Force.
He attended Clark Community College for one year and later retired as a computer and photo technician.
Vernon was a member of the Hood View Amateur Radio Club, CRESA, and enjoyed photography, computers, travel, and ham radio.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Diane; sisters, Carolyn Neimeyer and Mollie Loving; two step-children; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private memorial has been held.
