Thelma J. Houts, age 88, passed away April 7, 2011, in Vancouver, WA. She was born on June 29, 1922 in Amboy, WA where she grew up and later graduated from Woodland High School.
Thelma was part owner of Ten Mile Tavern for many years and enjoyed playing pinochle with a club, gardening, canning, going to the Moose Lodge with Clyde, and caring for her young grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Bobbi) Houts; special friend, Clyde Downs; sisters, Wanda Turner, Laura Delledge; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Judy Statler.
A graveside service will be held on Fri., April 15, 3:00 p.m., at the Camas Cemetery.

Always loved going to Aunt Thelma's or going to the beach with the whole group of us. She always made certain we had fun. Her older sister Lora Delich preceded Thelma in death at the age of 93 , 2010

Lyle and I were deeply saddened to hear of Thelma's passing. He has memories of Thelma and the family from when he was "just a kid" and always enjoyed seeing her and sharing conversation and memories. Our deepest sympathy. Carol and Lyle Seekins

To all of the family- Aunt Thelma was so special especially in her younger years when we would go camping at the beach and it always rained until I went home but what fun we had..............We have always stayed in touch thru the years and I will miss her dearly.............
